Just because someone has earned the title of “senior citizen” doesn’t mean life gets easier. For millions of Americans, the golden years aren’t filled with comfort and security—they’re marked by a struggle no one should ever face: hunger.

More than 5.6 million seniors across America experience food insecurity. These are our parents, grandparents, neighbors, veterans, and friends. Many are forced to make impossible choices every day. In fact, nearly two-thirds must decide between buying groceries and paying for the medications they need to stay alive.

Think about that for a minute.

Imagine your grandmother—the one who always had cookies waiting on the kitchen counter—wondering where her next meal will come from.

Picture the dad who taught you how to fish, work hard, and take care of your family, now stretching a single can of soup to get through another day.

Think about your mom, who never let you leave the table hungry, quietly skipping meals herself because there’s simply not enough money to go around.

These are the people who helped build our communities. They worked hard, raised families, served their country, and gave when they had little to spare. Now it’s our turn to show up for them.

That’s why the SmokeOut proudly supports TankFul, a one-of-a-kind art auction benefiting Meals on Wheels. The initiative was originally inspired by Ed Kerr, founding member of Hamsters USA, whose vision and compassion created an opportunity for the motorcycle community to make a real difference. Today, that mission continues under the leadership of Heather Callen, whose dedication has helped grow TankFul into one of the most meaningful traditions at the SmokeOut.

Because of the generosity of builders, painters, sponsors, bidders, and supporters from across the country, the SmokeOut community has raised and donated more than $60,000 over the past four years to help feed America’s seniors.

With blank tanks generously donated by Biker’s Choice, some of the nation’s most talented motorcycle artists have transformed bare steel into rolling works of art. Each tank tells a story, carrying the vision, creativity, and passion that make our culture unique.

These one-of-a-kind pieces will be displayed in the Legends Gallery at SmokeOut before being offered to the highest bidders during our live online TankFul auction.
